I am a Finn, and I was shocked to learn how poorly the inmates are treated in the US prisons. The food is uneatable! I am not very familiar with the prison conditions in my country, but just before Christmas, I read about an inmate saying that they prepare their own Christmas food and even bake a ham (a common Christmas food in my country). He also said he likes to bake cakes because his fellow inmates like cake : ) I cannot even imagine how difficult all this is for you. I wish I could offer words of comfort, but I have no words. I want to give you and your son a big hug. Thank you for educating us and using your voice to change things. As Greta Thunberg says, "The one thing we need more than hope is action. Once we start to act, hope is everywhere".
It's a global situation. I hope and pray that your voice pierces those administrative deaf years, and your son comes back soon without any diseases.
