I certainly don’t like the subject matter (content) of your writings because of the evil inhumane treatment of my 1st nephew and all the incarcerated. It makes my blood boil… Can you provide me with DOC and other addresses so I can add my 2 cents? I’m so angry about the unnecessary insane, cruel and inhumane treatment of incarcerated people caused by so many of the employees in the prison system 😡🤬😡 Their eternal future will be HELL 😈👹
“You must show deference to people who have already shown they could give two shits about you or your son.” I have read so many of your posts and am sickened by the prison system. How can there be any chance for rehabilitation with a for-profit system? And this administration will only make it worse. So sorry you are going through this insanity.
Thank you for connecting this week, and for this kindness. It is so broken. Every administration has failed, to date, to do anything to make lasting change. 💔
One of my biggest fears is that my kids will become addicts because my dad was one and it was awful. When he was in prison, I was relieved because I felt like they were saving him from himself. In his case, it didn’t work, but I never really considered the prison part if my kids went that route. I don’t know why. But it sounds horrific and is eye opening to the level of loss and heartache families deal with. From a mom POV, I’d be right with you. I appreciate you sharing these realities about the prison system that many don’t understand.
Thank you for sharing. The sad fact is that there are as many, if not more, drugs Inside prisons than out here. Couple that with zero attention to nervous system needs, rehabilitation, and trauma recovery-- prison is useless in reorienting those addicted to a better way or relating and seeing the world. It breaks my heart, not only for my son and other inmates struggling with addiction, but for the hundreds of thousands of other families impacted who want real change. 🖤
Your exquisite writing ensures that the audience feels the excruciating pain and injustice that you and your son are experiencing during his incarceration. Keep telling this important story for him and for all of us.

Thank you for your support and shared righteous anger. It is infuriating and exhausting. I'll send you info!

Oof! My heart goes out to you all. Your list of contradictions is spot on, unfortunately. Courage!
Thank you. I know you know. 🖤
